Dear Born Free Family,
Thank you for all the phone calls and emails welcoming me back – it’s been great catching up with all of you!
Those of you I’ve talked to in the last few weeks know that I’ve been telling everyone who will listen about the changes in our products and company! I can honestly say that in my twenty-three years with Born Free there have never been improvements like these.
In our discussions, John “C.T.” Dodgen has lamented that Born Free’s relationship with our owners is not what it once was – we seem to have drifted apart. One of our main goals is restoring this relationship. We’ve heard this same sentiment from many of you at shows and rallies – reminiscing about the good food, camaraderie, and just plain old fun we all had.
When “C.T.” asked me to help re-ignite the Born Free spirit, he opened a bigger can of worms than he anticipated! I’m already planning rallies, pre-rallies, cookouts, and wine and cheese parties!
I hope to see all of you sometime this summer, so check your calendars and if you don’t have a wedding, baptism, graduation, or family reunion planned get in your Born Free and come join the fun!
We’re excited to kick off the season with our Born Free Factory Rally June 11th – 14th! This is one you won’t want to miss. We’ll be showing off our new Born Frees, doing lots of cooking (and, of course, eating!), having some drinks, swapping stories, and just enjoying each other’s company! We have lots of great events in the works – it’s even rumored that we’ll be having Born Free drag races at the Humboldt race track!

Next on our summer schedule is the Good Sam Rally in Louisville, Kentucky June 21st – 24th. We’ll be having a Born Free pre-rally June 19th or 20th. This promises to be a day of food, drink, and fun connecting with other Born Free owners in the region. RSVP to enewman@dodgen-bornfree.com for this pre-rally by May 1st – I know it’s short notice, but what better way to spend a day before the rally?!
Our next pre-rally will be just before the August 27th – 30th FMCA Rally in Indianapolis, Indiana. We’ll be cooking out and shooting the breeze in the Hoosier State on the 25th or 26th. RSVP to enewman@dodgen-bornfree.com for this pre-rally by July 15th!
Our final pre-rally will be before the November 2nd – 4th Good Sam Rally in Daytona, Florida. Escape the cold and join us in the Sunshine State on October 31st or November 1st. RSVP to enewman@dodgen-bornfree.com for this pre-rally by September 15th.
Scott Cran, Ed Newman, and I are also working on organizing a few Born Free rallies of our own out West! We’ll keep you posted as these come together.
Not only that, but I’ll be joining some of the Leapin’ Lions Rallies to share some grub and maybe a joke or two!

I really cannot overstate how excited I and the entire Born Free team are about this new chapter in the Born Free story! We’re rarin’ to tell you all about it and have some fun while we’re at it!
So remember – unless you’re going to about twelve weddings, baptisms, graduations, or family reunions, get in your Born Free and join us for at least one of these rallies!
