Chatter: Yvonne Bills Relives her Dreams
Yvonne and Roger Bills traveled from Texas to Iowa in 1999 to pickup their 24ft. Born Free Rear Bath. Yvonne said it was like a dream and they had many trips planned. Other than a few minor changes to accommodate Roger’s fishing gear, they were on the road the next day. After a month or so, Roger decided to make another modification. He took out one of the dining chairs to make room for a kennel for their beloved dogs.
Yvonne recalled one of their experiences was staying in the Born Free during a hurricane. All would have been fine, but a tree landed on their motorhome at the height of the storm. The coach only received some minor cosmetic damages. The integrity of the Born Free held firm.
Unfortunately, they sold their beloved motorhome when Roger became ill and they knew they would not be able to “go on the road”. After Roger’s untimely death, Yvonne remained at home but grew increasingly restless and yearned to be back out there again.
Yvonne recently called Jerry Ehrhardt, her original sales representative in 1999 at the Born Free office in Iowa, and told Jerry she wanted to purchase another motorhome. After some discussion, Yvonne decided the 22ft. Built for Two would be just the ticket and made arrangements to fly back to Iowa to pickup her newest Born Free. Yvonne is now making plans to “get back out there to discover some new places. I’ll always miss Roger but I know he would like it that I’m taking to the highway again.”
